Shannon Edwards started her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Collin County, Texas after returning to the state of Texas from her home state of California after law school. Learning the art of jury trial in a trial by fire system, she quickly developed advanced skills in jury selection and trial advocacy. As an ADA, she tried cases weekly, sometimes two a week, and strove to maintain a standard of "in the interest of justice" in the disposition of cases.
That interest of justice is what ultimately led her to leaving the DA's office and becoming a criminal defense attorney. After serving her time in the public sector, she opened up her own law firm and ran it successfully for thirteen years. She has represented cases from possession of drugs and driving while intoxicated to securities fraud and aggravated assaults with a deadly weapon, and everything in between. She has represented hundreds of individuals to exceptional outcomes, consistently winning in trial or improving upon the state's original recommendations in court.
She has focused her years of experience in criminal law exclusively. She strongly believes that the rights of all can only be protected by enforcing the rights of every one. Her goal is to ensure each individual receives a fair and just outcome for their circumstances and the state be held to the standards of justice.
